Characteristics of BRANOfol-Stretch M5 VCI Film, R5 VCI Film
BRANOfol M5 and R5 VCI Film Stretch are bluish, unprinted, transparent stretch films with active VCI corrosion protection that are especially suited for packaging steel coils, optimised on contact. BRANOfol M5 and R5 VCI stretch film constantly emit small amounts of corrosion-inhibiting substances (VCI: Volatile Corrosion Inhibitors) which effectively protect metal parts from corrosion during transport or storage.
The protective atmosphere, depending on the volume of the package, is built after a short time. This holds true even after having opened the package for a short time – the protective atmosphere will be rebuilt immediately afterwards.
The thickness is 30 µm as standard, other thicknesses are on request. BRANOfol M5 and R5 VCI stretch Film are unprinted.
Duration of Protection
Depending on climate conditions and how well the packaging is sealed, BRANOfol M5 VCI Film, R5 VCI Film Stretch can offer protection for up to twelve months. The duration of protection can be extended if the application, storage and transport are well known.
